As we all know, aluminum is material with pros and cons that do great and bad to our daily use. It is becoming increasingly popular for engineering applications. There are many reasons for this that are outlined in the following sections.

l Corrosion Resistance of Aluminium Alloys

When aluminium is exposed to air, a thin oxidized film forms on the surface, protecting the metal from corrosion. When scratched, the layer rapidly reforms retaining the protection. This feature is utilized in construction, buildings and household utensils.

l Reflective Surface

Aluminium is an excellent reflector of radiant energy. It reflects more than 80% of visible light, radiation (heat) and electric waves. The purer the metal, the more so. This feature is used for reflecting mirrors, reflectors (stoves, infra-red dryers, lighting), and wave guides. It is also used as an insulating material in buildings and as roofing sheet.

l Non Combustible

Aluminium does not burn and so is widely used in buildings, vehicles and in other applications where fire is a potential hazard. Hazardous emissions are not generated when aluminium is exposed to heat.

l Easy to Fabricate

Aluminium can be easily fabricated into various forms such as foil, sheets, shapes, rods, tubes and wires. It also displays excellent machinability and plasticity in bending, cutting and drawing. Aluminium is considered to be the best material for complex extrusion to tight tolerances.

l Light

Aluminium is approximately 1/3 the weight of iron, steel, copper or brass. This is an advantage in some products and crucial in others.

l Regular Interior Sliding Doors

Regular interior sliding door adopts 1-1/7’’ thick glass, two single glasses and a layer of 18mm vacuum in between. As the door frame is 68mm thick, it is also called 68 series. It suits for normal weather condition and is usually adopted as patio door, kitchen door, balcony door and bath door. Owing to be designed for interior use, it is labeled with a nice price that is attractive enough to customers. Two-track and three-track designs are available~ And there are decorations allowed to placed in between the glasses, making the door look more attractive.

l Regular Exterior Sliding Doors

Regular exterior sliding door uses the glass with the same thickness as 65 series. Its width of door frame is 68mm, 3mm wider than 65 series, so it is stronger and firmer than interior one and is also called 68 series. It is designed to be exterior use or installed in some bad weather where there will be strong sunshine or heavy rain, so it is usually installed as patio door, entry door, balcony door. Owing to its better performance, the price of it is little bit higher than 65 series. Same as interior series, two-track and three-track designs are available.

l Thermal Breaking Lifted Sliding Doors

A thermal breaking sliding door is designed to be heat-insulated, noise-insulated and water-proof, using thickened materials for door frame and tracks, and thickened, tempered glasses - 6mm single glasses and a layer of 25mm vacuum in between. There is also a special rubber parts embedded in the middle of the pipe, making the noise-insulation and heat-insulation into realize. All the features make sure that the thermal breaking sliding door is our main sliding series with top-quality and top-performance, suitable for any extreme weather, like tsunami, hurricane or sandstorm, truly make your home a safe heaven. BTW, this series is only two-track design available~
